Our team consists of three physicians and one physician assistant, as well as an office manager and clinical, front office and billing staff. We take pride in the fact that many of these people have been with us for years. All of our physicians are board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Subspecialities include electrodiagnostic medicine, pain medicine and pediatric rehabilitation.


James R. MacKenzie, M.D.

Dr. MacKenzie, is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he received his B.S., and Wayne State University School of Medicine. He did his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at William Beaumont Community Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy, Michigan, followed by post-graduate training in orthotics, prosthetics and interventional pain management. Dr. MacKenzie has been with Neuromuscular & Rehabilitation Associates since 1989.


Stephen J. Andriese, M.D.

Dr. Andriese has a B.S. from Calvin College and while completing his M.D. at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, he also did graduate work in African studies. He completed his internship at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, residency training at University of Michigan, and has post graduate training in interventional pain management. Dr. Andriese practiced in Grand Rapids for several years prior to joining Neuromuscular & Rehabilitation Associates in 2006.


Tracy L. Riddle, D.O.

Dr. Riddle earned her B.S. in human biology, with a specialization in health and humanities, from the Lyman Briggs Honors College of Michigan State University. After receiving her D.O. from MSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, she remained in the Lansing area, where she did her osteopathic internship at Ingham Regional Medical Center, was chief resident at Sparrow Hospital, and completed a fellowship at Lansing Orthopedics.

Previous to coming to Traverse City, Dr. Riddle was in private practice, specializing in interventional spine medicine and electromyography. Her professional memberships include the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and both the American and Michigan Osteopathic Associations.
